I haven't learned that function yet. There was so much to say, and I can dart off as I think it. The pictures helped put some order to thoughts. You take days to track down what you put in articles. The urgency was more a gut feeling, we are falling off the cliffs as to many Lions are still asleep.

I've said this elsewhere on the 'stacks. There are three things that need to happen to avert this economic crisis: 1) cut government spending; 2) cut taxes; 3) pump and refine oil and natural gas. Since none of these three things will happen anytime soon, we are headed for a catastrophe of epic proportions. Buy food and figure out a way to store it.

Totally agree, I've been prepping as much as I can, but know it won't last the years it will take. Nor may I have those years, I turn 74 in August. I put in a container garden, the heat is about to kill it off. But that is the south's cycle, Heat, little rain. Tap water just doesn't work as well.

My grandma survived the Great Depression, had 8 kids, and Grandpa had Black Lung. 6 were girls, all canned, gathered wild berries. Only one of the boys survived, died of Moonshine poisoning. They took care of the chickens. Barter was used to acquire what they had no money for. Flour sack bloomers, and shirts. Grandma made two forms of bread, biscuits and cornbread, that and beans was often supper. And she worked at the local Shirt factory, scraps became quilts.

Mom gardened and canned, had a fishing hole of catfish and bass.

I shopped yesterday, the 'on sale' 99 cent Grainger Co, AR tomatoes had no smell, which meant they were Hothouse garbage. When I asked where the Ripley, TN great tasting ones were, I was told the farmer ruined the field, and had to fix it. Now this old girl lives 30 miles away from Ripley, plenty of Tomato farmers who are Generational farmers for tomatoes. So Last year Kroger formed a contract with Grainger, AR for tomatoes, and can't get out of it. They can rot, I know how tomatoes smell and taste, not buying the lie.

We live rural, there is no transportation except walk, bike or your car. Kroger's is the biggest employer, we have Fast Food (yuck) and nail salons no English spoken. 7,000 call this home. The nearest shopping is a 2 hr round trip drive to a Crime Riddled mall. 1 Pediatrician. 3 rehabs, 2 pharmacies. A few specialist come 1 day a week to a shared office what they do is little no medical equipment, want medical care, it's in CRIME RIDDLED MEMPHIS. We are Obumer mandated to use Military base (Navy) or Express Scripts. Small inexpensive 1 time ER scripts we can use a private pharmacy. Need SIBO med, Xifaxan, Use the Navy base, way to expensive.

Our GOVERNOR doesn't want to build more prisons, to expensive; we have the same number we've had more than 50 yrs ago. Crime is up 50%. Mostly in the 4 Blue counties. But it is creeping our way. I can't hear an alarm, the steroids used to treat Meniere's destroyed that. 2 attacks already, 3rd I go deaf. All programs are for kids.
