The book “Road to Serfdom” was written by F.A. Hayek in 1944 during World War II as a warning that every step away from free market capitalism toward government planning was a step away from freedom.

Rummaginging through old files I found a old article from the only newsletter I could afford, and eagerly awaited monthly, as I found the night Radio Host Ken Hamblin known to his large audience of callers as the Black Avenger, as wise as the late Rush Limbaugh.

Instead of reading Stop Australia Going Under, it should read STOP AMERICA FROM GOING UNDER.

In 1944, Democratic U.S. Congressman Samuel Pettengill warned America that socialists would endeavor to have the U.S. spend itself into bankruptcy, with a view to making citizens totally dependent on a centralized government.

Pettengill detailed TEN POINTS of the socialist manifesto that would destroy free government. Almost 50 years later, down under in Australia, it is disturbing to reflect on Pettengill 10 points. As it is today in America.

The law making body must be intimidated and from time to time rebuked, so as to prevent the development of public confidence in it.
